The Ealing Art Group was formed in 1910.  The founding committee chose as its logo a satyr’s head, still to be found on a seat in Walpole Park.  This logo was later deemed to be gloomy and was redesigned twice, in the seventies and again in the nineties.  Old programmes tell of picnics, dances and whist drives.  The demands of modern life have curtailed these social activities, but we still have a varied programme that should appeal to anybody interested in the visual arts.

More than one hundred artists and crafts people from around the West London area belong to Ealing Art Group – both amateur and professional.  We welcome all levels of ability; the criterion being that you are interested in art - our Group is not just for those that “do”.  We are keen to provide as many places, spaces and opportunities as we can for our members – and visitors - to enhance our knowledge of the arts, improve our skills and appreciation of art and to exhibit and sell our work.

Our artists work in different media to produce material that is wide ranging from the more traditional, through modern to abstract.  Our craft members produce a great variety of pieces working with ceramics, pottery, metal, papier-mache, fabrics and hand-painted silks.
